The Gospel Choir from Scotland for Sessions
and Live work
The Gospel Truth Choir are available for
studio sessions or live work, and are known for being very easy to work with.
Example projects include the Abbey Road recording by
songwriter BA Robertson of his song "The Living Years", tracks for Codeine
Velvet Club (John Lawler of the Fratellis),
work with The Skids as part of Homecoming Live and subsequent tour, and a
BBC/Celtic Connections show with Ricky Ross, Lorraine McIntosh, B.A.
Robertson, Karine
Polwart, Maeve Mackinnon and many others. They are recording artists in
their own right via their 2010 album "Deep Fried Gospel" (available
here).
The Gospel Truth Choir are experienced on TV and radio, both live and recorded, and recently provided "Waves"
for Katrina as well as supporting Andy Fairweather Low and singing "The Living
Years" live with Paul
Carrack. As part of Celtic Connections 2011 they opened for Sir Tom Jones
performance of his "Praise and Blame" album - and got to sing for the man
himself! They've performed at most of Scotland's top venues, including a recent
appearance at City Halls in Glasgow with Horse. In November 2010 they were a
major part of the BBC Scotland Children in Need appeal via a joint performance
of "Last Request" with the cast of River City - a feat that was pulled off with
only one rehearsal.
